Hello from the Savage Family!
(Yes, our last name is Savage)
Savage Seeds started with the desire to create for my little one. Wanting sustainable made toys and clothing, I embarked on designing my own. I taught myself to sew and from my own patterns I created children’s costumes, plush toys and capes for my daughter.
In 2011 I listed a few of our favorites on Etsy and quickly sold out. Soon after, I was contacted for magazine project contributions, pattern publications, editorials and interviews, including the cover of Mollie Makes - Issue 23 and Project Contributor for Better Homes & Gardens- Make It Yourself Magazine.
In 2014 our 2nd daughter was born. With not much time to sew, designing and screen printing apparel became our brand focus. Our empowering kids tees and family twinning designs became an instant success.
We now operate out of our 1000 sqft warehouse and you can find Savage Seeds sold at over 300 retailers & boutiques worldwide. All made by our small team in Portland, Oregon. USA.
Like our original mission, we are committed to using non-toxic inks, sweatshop free, ethically made clothing and packaging.
I feel extremely fortunate to be a part of this community of artists and makers and for the opportunity to do what I love for a living. When we are not creating for Savage Seeds you can find us out on adventures with our little Savages.
